The first full layout support frame was completed on Monday evening.
Here we see club chairman, Steve Simmonds, standing within the area that will become the Church End station operators area. We have added an access hand rail to assist less mobile members getting about under the layout. This frame will be treated shortly. But our new layout will also have the ability to operate the branch line from the front of the layout.
Behind you can also see the sorry state of the window glass. Following the recent completion of the planters the glass will be renewed during the warmer summer months, completing the refurbishment of the window glass in the building.
